Constitution

Article 1:
This organization shall be called the Asia Psychosomatic Medicine Society.
Article 2:
The office of this society shall be located at the following address:
Department of Psychosomatic Medicine, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University.
3-1-1 Maidashi, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka 812-8582, Japan

Chapter 2: Purpose and Activities

Article 3:
The purpose of this society is to promote the study and dissemination of psychosomatic medicine in Asia.
Article 4:
To achieve the purpose stated in the previous article, regular general meetings, academic presentations, lectures, and other necessary activities shall be held in principle every two years.

Chapter 3: Membership

Article 5:
Membership shall be open to physicians and other professionals who support the objectives of this society.
Article 6:
The qualifications of members shall be reviewed by the Board of Directors.

Chapter 4: Officers

Article 7:
This society shall have the following officers: President, Congress President, several Directors, and two Auditors.
Article 8:
The President shall oversee the affairs of the society, and the Directors shall form the Board of Directors and execute the society’s operations.
Article 9:
The President shall be elected by nomination from the Directors, and the President shall appoint the Directors. Both appointments must be approved by the members.
Article 10:
The Congress President shall oversee the general meetings and participate in the affairs of the society.
Article 11:
The term of office for officers shall be two years, and reappointment is allowed.

Chapter 5: Membership Fees

Article 12:
The necessary expenses of this society shall be covered by membership fees, donations, and other sources.
Article 13:
Members shall pay an annual membership fee of 5,000 yen. However, the President can determine whether or not to actually charge the fees, taking into consideration the financial circumstances and other relevant factors of the members.
Article 14:
The fiscal year of this society shall be from April 1st to March 31st of the following year.

Chapter 6: Supplementary Provisions

This constitution shall come into effect on June 6, 1982.
